I can’t go with you, but I can go alone.

phŏm mâi-mee bâan, dtàae phŏm mee ród-yon

I don’t have a house, but I have a car.

roong-raaem née mâi-mee hâwng yài, dtàae man mee ráan-aa-hăan

This hotel does not have big rooms, but it has a restaurant.

khun nâng thêe-nêe mâi-dâi, dtàae khun nâng thêe-nân dâi

You can’t sit here, but you can sit there.

chăn phûud phaa-săa ang-grìd mâi-dâi, dtàae chăn phûud phaa-săa thai dâi

I can’t speak English, but I can speak Thai.

chăn dern gàp khun mâi-dâi, dtàae chăn raw thêe-nêe dâi

I can’t walk with you, but I can wait here.
